基礎になっている技術は、北海道大学の田中譲教授の開発したIntelligentPadです。
富士ゼロックスが札幌に開発部隊をつくって、IntelligentPadのSmalltalk版とJava版を作ったのですが、売れる商品にまではなりませんでした。(ウエストからも札幌へ技術者一名を３年間派遣していました。わが社にはSmalltalkの技術者もいるのです！)
